Darling Wendy was used as a broodmare her whole life, then tossed away when her owners were tired of her. Poor girl! This 20+ year old grey mare is a real doll, and we are so happy to be able to offer her a new chance at life. Wendy is a very sweet, smart, pretty, talkative girl who stands only about 14.1. She loves attention from adults and especially from children. Her fosters tell us that she neighs when she sees them coming down the driveway! Her fosters also report she is a well-adjusted girl who is took to their herd of 3 geldings with no problems, holding her own and getting along beautifully. She has lived with goats, who she liked to "protect", and is good around dogs, too. She likes being brushed and handles nicely. Wendy is the perfect kids horse. In her former home she was ridden by their 10 and 11 year old kids, and led by a halter with younger kids. She is still totally rideable, and her fosters have been even jumping on her bareback to take a stroll around the neighborhood! Wendy is in pretty good shape, although she needs to get some conditioning as she has not been ridden all summer. She is an easy keeper. She has been vetted, and had her feet trimmed and teeth floated. If you are looking for the ideal kids horse or perfect horsey pet - look no further! Wendy may be your gal.
